Peter Hall – Different Stokes For Different Economic Downturns – PODCAST

All economic downturns are not created equal and therefore the recovery efforts from those downturns cannot be the same. The stock market crash of 1929, the recession of 1989, the financial meltdown of 2009 and the COVID crisis of 2019 all had different causes. How were the recovery efforts different from the recovery strategy we need to put in place today? To help us with this discussion is Peter Hall. Peter is the Vice President and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada. With over 30 years of experience in economic analysis and forecasting, Peter is responsible for overseeing EDC’s economic analysis, country risk assessment and corporate research groups.
