(Mississauga, ON – June 30, 2021) – The Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) is pleased to announce that Trevor McPherson has accepted the role of President & CEO, Mississauga Board of Trade, effective August 9, 2021. Trevor will be stepping into the role currently held by David Wojcik who is retiring at the end of the summer after six years with MBOT.

He is well versed in government relations, stakeholder engagement and consensus building, having held numerous positions at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce over the past 15 years, most recently as Vice President, Member Services. One of Trevor’s most significant accomplishments is the Ontario Economic Summit, a high-profile forum that engages leaders from business, government, labour, academia and the NGO community in a collaborative effort to determine ways to grow Ontario’s economy. Best of all, he’s familiar with MBOT and the team and will hit the ground running.”

“MBOT is one of the most forward-thinking and influential boards of trade in Canada and I’ve long admired the work it does,” says Trevor McPherson. “I’m thrilled with the opportunity to join this very talented and professional team, help advance MBOT’s strategic agenda, and champion inclusive and collaborative growth for Mississauga’s business community.”

“Trevor is highly qualified to lead MBOT into the future,” says David Wojcik, President & CEO, Mississauga Board of Trade. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past six years for Mississauga businesses, especially during the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Trevor is the right person to continue and further these efforts.”
