The Region of Peel Council voted in favour of a motion to request that the Peel Medical Officer of Health use local municipality data on COVID-19 related to retail and businesses. This caused a split in Regional Council with Mississauga and Caledon pushing the resolution over the finish line with Brampton opposed. It’s no secret that Brampton has been pushing the Regional COVID numbers to record levels. To help us with the discussion is the author of the resolution, Mississauga Ward 2 Councillor Karen Ras.
